Great movies that will take you outdoors (without leaving the house)

Being cooped up indoors 24/7 is not fun, we get that. Even homebodies need some greenery and sunshine from time to time and for outdoorsy people, this might as well be a court-ordered house arrest. But that's what movies are great for – escapism! In times like this, let's turn to movies that will take us to the great outdoors, without having to step out of the house. Stay home and stay safe, everyone, and enjoy these movies!

Reese Witherspoon stars in "Wild" (2014), a movie based on Cheryl Strayed's 2012 memoir,
which sees her hiking solo 1,100 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail on a journey of self-discovery.

The best-seller "Eat, Pray, Love" (2010) is based on also topped the best travel books list.
The movie takes Julia Roberts' New York character on a journey
to Italy (eat), India (pray) and Bali (love).

After staying indoors for so long, some of us might be inspired to go full on "Into the Wild" (2007).
Sean Penn directed this movie adaptation of Jon Krakauer's non-fiction book about Christopher McCandless's
early 1990s hike into the Alaskan wilderness. (Do Google him before following in his footsteps though).
