29 Nov – Having recently finished its run at local cinemas, "Paskal the Movie" is now aiming for international releases. Director Adrian Teh revealed during the "Paskal the Movie" Appreciation Dinner held last evening that the Malaysian Navy-focused film already has its crosshairs locked on two new target markets. Announcing that the movie is set to be released in Turkey and China next, Teh said that he and his teams are now in the process of finalising the movie's release in the aforementioned countries. "For sure we are going to release in this two territories but it will take some time," said Teh.
"Paskal the Movie", which was made with full support from Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM), was launched in March this year. After about six months, it cruised onto the big screen nationwide on 27 September, where it stayed buoyant in the endless sea of newly-releasing movies until mid-November. During its over 2 months run in local cinemas, the movie grossed RM30.5 million, easily making back its RM10 million production budget.
