30 Apr – Seems like "The Hurt Locker" star Jeremy Renner is a lucky guy indeed. After being cast as Hawkeye in "The Avengers" (with a cameo in "Thor") and will be featured alongside two beautiful ladies in Tommy Wirkola's "Hansel And Gretel" remake, Renner could add another character range in his filmography as The Hollywood Reporter recently reported that he will also be joining Jennifer Lopez as well as the rest of "Ice Age"'s fourth movie's voice cast. Titled as "Ice Age: Continental Drift", the fourth film in the hit animation series will also be featuring new voice cast members which include Wanda Sykes ("Rio"), Keke Palmer, Aziz Ansari and singer Drake. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the ensemble was announced on Tuesday during a Fox presentation, during which the studio met potential promotional partners, licensees and retail partners.
Renner will provide voice for Gutt, a self-styled master of the high seas while "American Idol" judge Lopez will voice Shira, a saber-toothed who melts the heart of Diego. The new arrivals will join the original voice cast, including Ray Romano who will once again provide voice for Manny, and Queen Latifah who will return as Ellie. In the meantime, Denis Leary will voice Diego, and John Leguizamo will be back to provide voice for Sid. Steve Martino ("Horton Hears a Who!") and Mike Thurmeier (co-director of "Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs") team up to direct "Ice Age: Continental Drift", which will hit U.S. theaters on July 13, 2012. However, a tentative release date for Malaysia and Singapore is yet to be confirmed upon time of publication.
