3 Jun – Whether you're an aspiring artiste looking for a big break or just having fun being an extra, you will be pleased to know that a open casting session will be held at Movie Carnival 2011 in IPC Shopping Centre, Mutiara Damansara, Malaysia, for the upcoming Bjarne Wong rom-com "Starts Good Ends Good" this Monday, 6 June. Held mainstage from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, the casting session will be conducted by famous Hong Kong and local artistes who have already been cast for the movie, and is expected to attract about 100 to 200 hopefuls who will stand a chance to have a starring role in the China-Hong Kong-Malaysia joint project, "Starts Good Ends Good". Each candidate will be given 30 seconds to do anything to impress the judges. Successful candidates will be contacted directly by the producers of the film to star in the upcoming film.
The casting session only applies for all Malaysians who can speak Cantonese regardless of their age, gender or ancestry. Registration starts today and will be ongoing until 3pm on Monday, 6 June. During the registration, you will need to fill registration form and include one profile photo, and one full-shot photo. Those with no photo in hand, can walk on over to the 'Costume Studio' at the Movie Carnival to snap their photos for a nominal fee. In addition to the casting call, fans can also meet the stars of the movie; Daniel Chan, Mark Cheng, Viann Zhang Xinyu, Julia Jiang Yu Fei, Soo Wincci and Cindy Chen, as they will arrive in style with a bodyguard entourage. "Starts Good Ends Good" is expected to start shooting in September 2011 in Penang, Malaysia.
