4 Mar – It seems that "Green Lantern" star Ryan Reynolds is not done playing superheroes yet, as an announcement was made last year that he will reprise his role as Wade Wilson alias Deadpool for the Marvel spin-off to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", aptly titled "Deadpool", according to Movie Web. 20th Century Fox's "Deadpool" has been languishing in the discussion room for quite a while, but sources have stated that the movie will be directed by Tim Miller, who had previously contributed his skills with visual effects for the "X-Men" franchise. Meanwhile, Reynolds is just excited to reprise his role as the 'Merc With A Mouth' in the upcoming Marvel anti-(super)hero movie. In a recent interview, 36-year-old Reynolds stated that there will be no relation between the new movie and 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", the movie that brought the character Deadpool to the attention of moviegoers and fans. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner has also claimed that "Deadpool" will be a complete reboot of character. According to Reynolds, "The script is, I think, fantastic. It's been developed even further in the last three months or so. The film has to be rated R, and it has to be done a certain way, it has to do all these things that I am sure can be worrisome for the guy cutting the checks for it, so if it's going to be done, it needs to be done right." It is still not known when production may begin on "Deadpool", but it is tentatively scheduled for a 2014 release.
