Zac Efron joins "Parkland"


Zac Efron is the latest to join the Tom Hanks-produced "Parkland"

22 Dec – Zac Efron is the latest addition to join the Tom Hanks-produced "Parkland", which revolves around the JFK assassination that takes place at Dallas' Parkland Hospital on the day of Kennedy's murder.

It is there that president Kennedy, his alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby (who assassinated Oswald), all died. Besides Efron, Marcia Gay Hayden will also be joining the cast that already consists of Paul Giamatti and Billy Bob Thornton. However, character details and in-depth plot information have yet to be revealed. "Parkland" is adapted from Vincent Bugliosi's book, "Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of John F. Kennedy".


Zac Efron was last seen in "The Paperboy" with Nicole Kidman.

Efron was last seen with Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey in Lee Daniels' film adaptation of "The Paperboy" and will be next be seen starring in "At Any Price" with Dennis Quaid.

"Parkland" is planned for a November 2013 release to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination.
