No "Fifty Shades" for Jolie

Angelina Jolie will be directing her attention to another project – "Unbroken".

23 Feb – Angelina Jolie will not be picking up the cameras for "Fifty Shades Of Grey", according to Universal Studios Chairman, Adam Fogelson.

In an interview with THR, Fogelson confirmed that the actress was working with the studios for another project, a World War ll drama called "Unbroken", and not for the adaptation for the erotic novel as previously rumoured.

"But we have had really, really interesting, great conversations with talented, serious filmmakers," he said.

While no names have been tied to "Fifty Shades Of Grey" at this point, it has been confirmed by the studio head that the movie will be released in 2014 during the summer season of the US.

Author of "Fifty Shades Of Grey", E. L. James, does not need to wait long for her work to appear on the big screen.

Fans have been restless with the slow progress on the adaptation, worrying the buzz would have died before the movie can be made. Fogelson was quick to reassure that making the film is an absolute priority with the studio.

"I don't believe that author, E. L. James had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision. I don't believe that the second or third film would have benefited from the strategy."

As no news of casting has been announced, the job is left for fans to pick favourites who can play the sexy Christian Grey. Fan favourites include Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Ryan Gosling, Alexander Skarsgård and Ian Somerhalder.
