14 Oct – First place at the Malaysian box office for the second time, "Annabelle" expands her reign of terror by claiming the first place in Singapore as well, while "Gone Girl" remained in its first place at the U.S. weekend box office from 9 to 12 October 2014. Grossing USD26.4 million, the Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike starring "Gone Girl" managed to stay put for the second week running in U.S. Meanwhile, newly debut film; "Dracula Untold" and "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" placed second and third collecting USD23.5 million and USD18.3 million respectively as they pushed "Annabelle" to fourth place. However, the demon doll continued her supremacy over in Malaysia as the film remained in first place at the weekend box office for the second week in a row now. Luke Evans starring "Dracula Untold" also managed to maintain its position in second place at the weekend box office, while Nicolas Cage's "Left Behind" placed third in its opening weekend.
Similarly, "Annabelle" also conquered Singapore's weekend box office with "Dracula Untold" placing second while the third place went to "Gone Girl". Other new movies that also opened in Malaysia last week were; "Black and White: The Dawn of Justice", "Kaithiyin Agarathi", "A Haunted House 2", "The Haunting of Helena" and "Kill the Messenger". Other new movies that opened in Singapore last week were; "I Spit on Your Grave 2", "Good People", "Flirting in the Air", "Laggies", "Outcast", "Black and White: The Dawn of Justice", "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" and "Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary".
