19 Mar – Oscar and Grammy award winning actor Jamie Foxx will be in Kuala Lumpur next week to perform at the 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards. The Academy Awards' equivalent in the sports world will be held on Wednesday, 26 March, at Istana Budaya, with many well-known personalities reportedly to make an appearance. The Hollywood names that have been in attendance over the years are David and Victoria Beckham, Sean Connery, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Eva Longoria. This year may also see some yet to be announced celebrities and sports icons at the star studded event. The upcoming villain of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will also be making an appearance at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on 29 March for an Earth Hour event, so fans may be able to catch a glimpse of Foxx wandering about Kuala Lumpur for days till then. The Laureus World Sports Awards is held annually in different locations around the world to celebrate the best men and women from the world of sport as well as the year's greatest sporting achievements. The winners, as voted by the Laureus World Sports Academy, the ultimate sports jury, made up of 46 of the greatest sportsmen and sportswomen of all time, will be unveiled at a globally televised Awards Ceremony staged at Istana Budaya in Kuala Lumpur on 26 March 2014.
