20 Feb – "X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer has revealed through his Instagram that Kodi Smit-Mcphee will be playing the young Nightcrawler in the movie.
According to Comic Book, Mcphee is not an unknown name in Hollywood as he has appeared in several TV shows and movies such as "The Road," "Romeo and Juliet", "Young Ones," and "Dawn of The Planet of The Apes".
Singer had also previously mentioned that he had been planning for Nightcrawler to have a role since 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
The 18-year-old teenage actor will be joining a few other new actors who were previously announced as casts of the young X-Men members; Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp, who will be playing the younger version of Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops respectively.
With the announcement of these new cast, the cameras are expected to start rolling this coming April and the movie will be in cinemas by May, 2016.
