3 Aug – Actor-director Gavin Yap's feature directorial debut "Take Me To Dinner" has been nominated for two awards at the upcoming 27th Malaysia Film Festival (FFM27). One of the cast members, actress Sue Lankaster, announced the news on her Facebook account, revealing that the movie is nominated for Best Non-Malay Film and Most Promising New Director. "Take Me To Dinner" stars Patrick Teoh as Edward, an assassin who's had enough of killing and requests for his retirement dinner. It`s up to his equally messed up colleagues Hamm, Teddy, Elijah and Manny to give it to him. However, the dinner will set in motion a series of events that will change their lives forever. The cast includes Ben Tan, U-En Ng, Thor Kah Hoong and Michael Chen. The movie was released in March 2014 at selected GSC cinemas. The full list of FFM27 nominations is expected to be released by tomorrow. Online speculations reveal that movies such as "Terbaik Dari Langit", "Kaki Kitai", "Ophilia", "Lelaki Harapan Dunia" and more are vying for a spot on said list. FFM27 is slated to take place on 5 September 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
