11 May – The much raved about "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2" ("AADC 2") continues to strike gold with audiences as it has now collected RM4 million at the Malaysia and Brunei box office since its release on 28 April 2016.
According to the latest weekend box office chart, the Indonesian romance drama is at third place behind "Captain America: Civil War", which is at first place, and the Tamil film, "24" which is at second.
On its first day of its release, "AADC 2" had collected RM300,000 from cinemas and then it went up to RM1 million four days later.
The first film, "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta" had created an unusual phenomena in the region back in 2002 as it was widely well received by many.
The love story between Rangga and Cinta played by Nicholas Saputra and Dian Sastrowardoyo respectively had left audiences hungry for more.
The sequel, "AADC 2" was delivered 14 years later and picks up where the characters left off in the previous movie.
"AADC 2" also sees the return of Titi Kamal, Ladya Cherill, Sissy Priscillia, Adinia Wirasti and more from the first film.
