28 Mar - "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is the fifth biggest box office opening weekend film of all-time in Malaysia! Filmmaker Zack Snyder's latest superhero venture might not have found favour with some critics, but fans of the DC Comics heroes have proven to be the deciding factor here as the film also has the biggest box office opening record for the month of March, and has the year's biggest box office opening record in Malaysia. According to Box Office Mojo, considering that the top five biggest opening weekend films of all-time in Malaysia before this were; "Transformers: Age of Extinction" (RM26.72 mil), "Fast and Furious 7" (RM22.7 mil), "Jurassic World" (RM20.6 mil), "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (RM20 mil) and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (RM19.7 mil), it can be deduced that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has dethroned "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" for fifth place, and may have collected close, but not more than RM20 million over its opening weekend. Globally, the movie has been doing spectacularly great as well, having collected a massive USD424.1 million, with USD170 million gained from North America alone, making it Warner Bros' biggest ever opening in the territory. Across the border, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" collected SGD4.57 million (RM13.3 million) in its opening weekend. Meanwhile in Cambodia, the movie made more than USD25,000 (RM100 k) on its opening day and is the highest opening day title for Warner Bros. in Cambodia. Released on 24 March 2016, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" follows Batman as he takes on Superman, fearing that Superman`s actions are left unchecked. But the two heroes have to set aside their differences and, along with Wonder Woman, stop Metropolis from being destroyed by Lex Luthor.
