13 Apr – While fans were mostly against than for Ben Affleck portraying Batman on the big screen, seems like the actor has impressed enough as he is now getting to chance to reprise the role for a solo movie. Batfleck, as he has since been called after choosing to don the Batsuit, will not only be starring, according to ComicBook.com, he will also be directing the movie. The news was recently revealed at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced, "We're working with Ben Affleck on a standalone Batman movie." This finally confirms rumours of Batman getting his own solo superhero vehicle, which have been circulating since last year. The rumours were further strengthened by Affleck previously commenting to Entertainment Weekly that the project was "in development". Affleck makes his debut as Batman in the new "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" – the movie that impressed on its opening weekend but saw a steady decline afterwards. The movie was panned by critics and fans alike for its dark and brooding tone. Batfleck will make his second appearance in his cape and cowl in 2017's "The Justice League: Part One".
