Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes.

23 Apr – With the anticipation building up for the latest Marvel movie, no doubt anyone who hears the name Robert Downey Jr. will immediately think "Iron Man".

Iron Man a.k.a. Tony Stark will soon be seen fighting a civil war opposite his fellow superhero, Captain America. In that same upcoming movie, a web-slinging superhero will be making his debut in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Now, what else do Iron Man and the latter, Spider-Man, have in common aside from both appearing in "Captain America: Civil War"?

Well, both will also be in Spidey's "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

After previously teasing about the possibility of him joining the movie, it is now confirmed that Downey Jr. is set to reprise his Iron Man role for the first Tom Holland-starring Spidey movie, according to Coming Soon.net.

But for Downey Jr. fans, the good news doesn't end there. The actor will also be reprising another famous character of his, Sherlock Holmes, in what will be the third instalment of the detective movie series.

"We're talking about it right now," the actor told Shortlist, adding that they will "attempt to make one this year."

The last Sherlock Holmes movie was 2011's "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows", a follow up to 2009's "Sherlock Holmes.

While fans wait for "Sherlock Holmes 3" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming", the latter which will be released in 2017, catch Downey Jr. as Iron Man first in "Captain America: Civil War", releasing on 28 April 2016.
