4 May – "Fast And Furious" star Vin Diesel has teased some new details about the upcoming "Fast And Furious" movies, with a director already confirmed to helm both the projects. Diesel confirmed in an interview with TODAY Show that director Justin Lin will be returning to the franchise to direct both "Fast And Furious 9" and "Fast And Furious 10", even dropping hints on Africa being the movies' next location. "I just got off the phone with Justin Lin who is directing "Fast 9" and "Fast 10", and I can't tell you how excited he is," he said during the interview to promote the launch of Universal Orlando's newest attraction, "Fast & Furious: Supercharged". When asked about the movies' newest sites, Diesel simply teased, "Well, we haven't been to Africa, I will tell you that; and we are long overdue." The ninth and tenth "Fast And Furious" movies will be shot back-to-back with the latter being the final movie in the series. The choice of bringing back Lin to direct the finales is a smart decision considering he directed most of the movies (count four) including the game-changing "Fast And Furious 5".
All of the main cast members are expected to reprise their roles including Jordana Brewster's Mia Toretto, who was absent in last year's "Fast And Furious 8". "Fast And Furious 9" and "Fast And Furious 10" are scheduled for a 10 April 2020 and 2 April 2021 American release dates respectively.
