Anthony Mackie to star in "Captain America 4"

20 Aug – It's official, Anthony Mackie will indeed be succeeding Chris Evans as the new superhero in "Captain America 4".

It was revealed that the actor has closed a deal to star in the said movie, following the release of the Marvel Studios Disney+ limited series, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier".

However, as usual, Marvel Studios are being hush-hush about the whole project, and made no mention as to whether Mackie's aforementioned series' co-star Sebastian Stan will be joining the movie as well.


Sam Wilson was previously given the vibranium shield in "Avengers: Endgame"

Reports about the fourth "Captain America" first came in April, with rumours stating that Mackie will be succeeding Chris Evans as the new Captain.

Captain America 4's script is being written by "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" head writer and creator Malcolm Spellman.
