22 Mar – Chris Hemsworth is not the only superhero in the family, as it was revealed that wife Elsa Pataky is set to play a superhero herself in the new Netflix action drama film, "Interceptor".

The movie, which sees Thor himself as an executive producer, will star Pataky as a woman who is set to save the world from 16 nuclear missiles.

"The storyline is about a driven woman who has nothing to lose and gets what she wants," said Pataky. "It's a role often given to men, but we're seeing more going to women – showing we are capable of a lot more than we think."

The greatest thing about the role, she said, was the fact that her eldest daughter finally gets to see her as a woman who is strong and saves the world, after only seeing her father as a superhero.

As to her training for the movie, Pataky said that she has been training with British fitness guru Ross Edgeley.

"He works with weights and has me doing one-hand push-ups. I do four to five sessions a week and eat a bit more to get pumped," said the mother-of-three.

Asked what Hemsworth thought about her returning to acting again, the Spanish actress, who has been married to the Australian hunk for the past ten years, responded, "Chris has always pushed me to keep working because he knows it makes me happy. He is always on my side. He tells me not to do things half-half but to commit all the way. He doesn't want me to have any regrets. He is very supportive."

The couple, who have moved to Byron Bay, Australia from the US in 2014, are also relocating to Sydney for the project.
