31 Jan – James Gunn recently revealed that Volume 3 of his "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie will be the last time you will see the current lineup.

The director, who also previously revealed that he will depart from the Marvel franchise after the third film, shared the news in a recent interview, saying, "This is the end for us. This is the last time people will see this team of Guardians..."

"I just want to be true to the characters, and I want to be true to the story and I want to give people the wrap-up that they deserve for the story. So that is always a little bit scary; I'm doing my best," he said.

James Gunn also helmed the DC TV project, "Peacemaker"

Gunn, who is working on Vol. 3, is also helming "Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" for Disney+, although there has been no further information about the latter except that some of the cast members will return.

On the other hand, the upcoming movie has also cast Will Poulter as Adam Warlock.

The movie will be hitting theatres in May 2023.
