21 Mar – The National Artists Day (Hari Seniman Negara) has now been rescheduled to be celebrated annually on 22 March. The news was announced by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who stated that the date has been changed in commemoration of the birth of the late legend, Tan Sri P Ramlee. "The significant change in the date of the National Artists Day celebration is to commemorate his services and contributions to the country's creative industry, besides celebrating the work of P Ramlee who not only succeeded in producing more creative industry figures and experts, but also introduced Malaysia to the world," he said.
