4 Jul – Taron Egerton's dream of being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be coming true soon, if his recent meeting with the studio's top man gets a fruitful result. The "Kingsman" actor, who spoke to the media to promote his series, "Black Bird", revealed that he has recently met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about potentially joining the MCU. Although Egerton made no mention as to what the meeting was about, he was not shy to admit that he would like to play Wolverine. "I don't think it would be wrong to say that. I'd be excited but I'd be apprehensive as well, because Hugh [Jackman] is so associated with the role that I'd wonder if it'd be very difficult for someone else to do it," he said.
At the same time, the actor admitted that there is no rush from the studio to recast the character. "Hopefully if it does come around, they'll give me a shot," he added. It is no secret that the actor has interest in the X-Men character. However, fans of the comic book have previously expressed more interest to see the character, who is originally only 5'3 in the comics, being played by other actors, including "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe and "Shoresy" actor Jared Keeso.
