Through groundbreaking and captivating cinematic experiences, their aim is not just to entertain but to connect with a wider, more diverse audience like never before.

This Universe is a groundbreaking initiative bringing together blockbuster intellectual properties (IPs) produced by Astro Shaw, further expanding their stories through upcoming films and premium series.

"Keluang Man" to release in 2025

Set to launch in 2025, the Astro Shaw Cinematic Universe will kickstart with fresh entries from fan-favorite franchises. The acclaimed Polis Evo series expands with "Polis Evo 4," alongside new spin-offs "REZA" and "Evo Academy." The beloved Keluang Man franchise returns with six new titles including "Baling," "Patani," and "Kataha," while "Kudrat 1968" introduces audiences to the High Council Universe.

Watch out, for an ultimate convergence will occur in 2028 as a result of this collaboration. It is a Malaysian-centric universe, blending diverse genres and stories. This pioneering initiative is the first of its kind, promising an exciting new chapter for Malaysian cinema.

Head of Astro Shaw, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad said that while some local films have performed well at the box office, the overall performance of Malaysian cinema remains challenging. As social media content and streaming platforms reshape entertainment consumption across Southeast Asia, Astro Shaw's bold initiative could mark a defining moment for Malaysian cinema. "We aim to support the Malaysian film industry by creating opportunities for filmmakers, and contributing to the Malaysian cinema ecosystem," Raja Jastina added.
