9 May - Michelle Yeoh has been cast in the upcoming Prime Video's limited series, "Blade Runner 2099".

The series is revealed to be the follow up to the 2017 movie sequel, "Blade Runner 2049", though both Michelle's character in the series and the show plot are both currently kept under wraps.

It was revealed that production has already started, previously delayed a year due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

"Blade Runner 2049" was released in 2017
Michelle, who won Best Actress at the Academy Awards last year, was most recently seen in Netflix's "The Brothers Sun" and Disney+ series, "American Born Chinese".

Both shows have been cancelled after one season.

She will also be seen next in the big screen adaptation of Broadway's "Wicked".
