30 Sep - Following the release of the HBO series of one of DC's villains, "Penguin", it was reported that DC Studios are planning for another project relating to DC's villains. According to THR, sources are saying that Bane, the Batman supervillain brute, will be the star of his own movie along with another villainous character Deathstroke. Sources claimed that DC Studios is currently developing a script from Matthew Orton of "Captain America: Brave New World" fame. It is noted that the character Bane, created by Chuck Dixon and Graham Nolan in the early '90s, was last depicted in the 2012 Christopher Nolan movie, "The Dark Knight Rises", and was portrayed by Tom Hardy.
Meanwhile, Deathstroke was first introduced in the '80s as the supervillain for the Teen Titans but later grew to become one of Batman's archnemesis. Joe Manganiello played the role in "Zack Snyder's Justice League" and was originally set to become the villain of a Ben Affleck Batman movie, but the project was cancelled.
