U-Carmen (LAFF)

While watching television, cigarette factory worker Carmen learns that singing sensation Lulamile Nkomo is coming over for a special concert. Just as she tries to get more information from the advertisement, her housemate Pinki turns off the television, leading to a fight between them. She hurts Pinki with a knife, leading to Carmen being taken into custody by officer Jongikhaya, whom she has flirted with before. Wanting to leave prison, Carmen convinces Jongikhaya to help her escape in return of her love. However, after he successfully helps her, Carmen repeatedly rejects him, claiming that no one but herself will own her. Determined not to be forgotten, Jongikhaya promises that if he cannot have Carmen, no one will.
Ketika menonton televisyen, seorang pekerja kilang rokok Carmen mendapat tahu penyanyi sensasi Lulamile Nkomo bakal mengadakan konsert. Ketika dia cuba untuk mendapatkan maklumat lanjut mengenai konsert itu, rakan serumahnya Pinki menutup televisyen menyebabkan tercetusnya pergaduhan di antara mereka. Dia mencederakan Pinki dengan pisau membuatkan dia telah ditahan oleh pegawai polis Jongikhaya. Mahu keluar dari penjara, Carmen meyakinkan Jongikhaya untuk membantunya melarikan diri sebagai pertukaran dengan cintanya. Bagaimanapun selepas dia berjaya menolong, Carmen tidak menunaikan janji dan menolak cinta polis itu. Nekad tidak mahu dilupakan, Jongikhaya berjanji jika dia tidak dapat Carmen, tiada siapa akan dapat juga.
