The Good, the Bad and the Gangnam Gangsters:

• Yu Ha delivers another masterpiece. His movie's storyline is not cliche even though gangster movies are definitely one of Korea's favourite productions, the '70s soundtrack is a beautiful accompaniment and the symbolism scattered throughout the movie will give the viewers a chance to unearth something new with every viewing.

• While the lead characters may have looks that are easy on the eyes, this also takes away from feeling the true grittiness of their characters. They come across as dapper men who never saw a hard day in their lives that even the wounds they suffer physically seem decorative rather than painful.

• But the beautifully designed and filmed shots will still make one fully engrossed in watching the movie. Every detail is meticulously planned and the period details are accurate.

Trivia:

• The leading role was offered to actor Hyun Bin but he declined it.
