The Good, the Bad and the Hangman:

• The film is more than just about capital punishment, as it explores the life, experiences and feelings faced by the executioner or better known as the hangman.

• The movie is grippingly intense thanks to the extreme sound effects of tiny objects and surroundings, like the gate-closing and footsteps, which further heightens the strain and pressure felt from the story-line.

• Wan Hanafi Su delivers his role effortlessly and professionally while Fir Rahman seems a bit unimpressive at first, but he too manages to deliver a well-rounded role in the end.

Trivia:

• Director Boo Junfeng took four years to shoot this film including his researching and writing process.
