The BFG

Based on the Roald Dahl book of the same name, young orphan Sophie encounters a giant, the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) and the both of them go on an adventure to stop other evil giants from roaming in the human world.

The Good, the Bad and the Friendly Giant:

• Steven Spielberg's "BFG" is a wondrous delight, and Mark Rylance does a remarkable job in bringing the character to life.

• The film uses a massive amount of special effects and CGI, though they are beautiful and impressive, it might be too much to the point that it looks like a 3D animation even though it's a live-action film.

• Though the movie is inspirational, but it can be boring at times, and it is still not as good as Spielberg's past films or Roald Dahl's previous adaptations.

Trivia:

• The film has been in development for almost 25 years.
