Watch this if you liked: “Inception”, “Interstellar”, TV series “Dark”

The Good, the Bad and the Time Inversion:

• Intense from the beginning to the end, the movie barely gives its audience room to breathe and digest the events unfolding on screen, securing its standing as a movie that requires more than one viewing to fully comprehend, as most Christopher Nolan films are wont to be.

• There's no shortage of action, there is always a charged atmosphere within every moment, no matter how still it seems. The fast-paced action-packed scenes keep the audience entranced throughout the movie, regardless of whether they are able to keep up with the plot or not.

• Story-wise, if arranged in a linear fashion, it makes for a standard action film, but the time inversion (and all the reversed running and whatnot) keeps it fresh and interesting.

• Cast-wise, John David Washington is a lead that the audience will never tire of watching and his character's interaction with Robert Pattinson's Neil is often amusing.

• Fans of other Nolan movies like "Inception" and "Interstellar" probably won't have a hard time following the movie, as they are accustomed to his storytelling style.

• While the whole concept of time inversion might be foreign and confusing to some, fans of the German TV series "Dark" would probably find it easier to ingest, having been conditioned by the show's quite bizarre time-travelling practices and paradoxes.

Trivia:

• "Tenet" was supposed to have been theatrically released worldwide in July 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to be delayed a few times.

• Currently, only a few countries will get to see "Tenet" in cinemas either in late August or early September 2020. In its home country, USA, it will only play in certain drive-in cinemas.
