13 Mar - Boney Kapoor recently confirmed that he is planning to make a sequel to his wife Sridevi's last film, "Mom", and that daughter Khushi Kapoor might star in it.

Speaking to the media on the green carpet at the IIFA 2025, Boney said that he is proud of Khushi and has already watched all of her films.

"I have watched all of Khushi's films. 'Archies', 'Loveyapa' and 'Nadaaniyaan'. I am planning a film with her too after 'No Entry'. It would be a movie with Khushi. It could be 'Mom 2'. She is trying to follow in the footsteps of her mother," he said.

"Mom" was one of the last films starring Sridevi
He added, "Her mother was the top star in all the languages she worked in. I hope Khushi and Janhvi succeeded in this same level of perfection."

The movie, released in 2017 and helmed by Ravi Udyawar, enabled Sridevi to win National Awards' Best Actress, albeit posthumously. It stars Sridevi as a vigilante who sets out to avenge her stepdaughter after she is sexually assaulted at a party.

Sridevi passed away in February 2018 from accidental drowning while she was in a hotel in Dubai. She was 54.
