12 Mar - James Gunn recently shared a somehow "cute" exchange he had with Jason Momoa, whom he recently cast to play Lobo in the upcoming " Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow".

On 10 March, the filmmaker posted a screenshot of a text message that was sent to him from Momoa - a short and simple text that said "f****** LOBO".

In the exchange, Gunn told Momoa, "Dude, I've said you should be Lobo for years, no lie."

"On the anniversary of Lobo, I can't help but think of a text I received from @prideofgypsies on the morning it was announced Peter & I were the heads of DC Studios - the day Jason & I first discussed him joining the DCU as Lobo. I've loved watching Jason bring him to life & can't wait to share that with all of you," Gunn posted.

Fans went to the comments to share their support for the casting, with one netizen saying, "This is the best casting I've seen in a long time! Lobo is going to be awesome!!"

It was back in December that it was revealed that Momoa has been tapped to play the Czarnia antihero. In a past interview, Momoa admitted to be a fan of the character, saying, "I collect comics, and I don't do so much anymore, but he was always my favourite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I'm like, 'Hello? It's the perfect role.' If they call and ask me to play him, it's a f*ck yeah."
