24 Mar - Hollywood veterans Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller are set to reignite their iconic comedic rivalry in a much-anticipated fourth instalment of the "Meet the Parents" franchise; with the first "Meet the Parents" in 2000, then 2004's "Meet the Fockers" and the last one being "Little Fockers" in 2010.

The duo, whose on-screen chemistry made the original films box office hits, will return to their beloved roles after a 15-year hiatus.

John Hamburg, who was the screenwriter behind all three previous films, will take over directing duties from Jay Roach.

De Niro and Stiller are not only reprising their iconic roles as intimidating ex-CIA agent Jack Byrnes and perpetually flustered nurse Greg Focker in the fourth "Meet the Parents" film, but they're also serving as producers through their respective production companies.

The pair's antagonistic father-in-law/son-in-law relationship have become the cornerstone of the franchise. The original film tells the story of Greg Focker, a nurse who suffers a series of unfortunate events while visiting his girlfriend's parents (Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner). No plot details have been released regarding the fourth movie.

This reunion of two of comedy's most recognisable stars marks one of Hollywood's more anticipated revivals, with fans eager to see how the Focker family saga continues after such a long break.
