9 Dec – Paddington Bear pays Malaysia a visit! The lovable English bear arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this morning and immediately started snapping pictures to commemorate the beginning of his journey in the tropical country. Having done his homework well before starting his trip, Paddington knew taking The Express Rail Link (ERL) would be the fastest way to reach the city centre straight from the airport.
Being the friendly bear that he is, Paddington waved back and happily took pictures with the passengers aboard the KLIA Ekspres train as they spotted him getting onboard. Exactly 33 minutes later, Paddington has arrived in KL Sentral. He posed for several more memorable snaps before hurrying to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) that would take him to Malaysia's most famous landmark, a must-visit on any travelling bear's list, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) Petronas twin towers.
Paddington spotted Harrods Café and settled down for a hearty English breakfast. Of course, he had his breads with some of his favourite marmalade spread generously on them. His stomach full and his heart content, Paddington took a little tour around the Harrods store, loving the touch of English in an Asian country. He even managed to snap a photo with British High Commissioner H.E. Victoria Treadell and Harrods' General Manager Madam Sofiah.
This is only the beginning of Paddington's road trip, as after this he will be going around to various iconic locations in Malaysia to celebrate the release of "Paddington" this 11 December 2014 in cinemas!
