12 Nov – From the producer of the "Harry Potter" film franchise, David Heyman, is a feature-length live-action/CGI-animated adaptation of "Paddington Bear", which is set for a 2014 release. According to Collider, the film will be titled "Paddington", and will be directed by Paul King. The story centres on a polite young bear from Peru who arrives in London with his Aunt Lucy in search of a home when an earthquake destroys their home. Paddington is soon left at Paddington Station, with a label tied round his neck which simply reads 'Please look after this bear. Thank you.' by his Aunt Lucy, who is trusting of the kindness of strangers. Paddington is soon taken in by the Brown family. There he stays with them, all the while searching for the only person he knows in London: the explorer who impressed Aunt Lucy years before. But a trail of comic mayhem follows this young bear, especially when he catches the eye of a sinister, seductive taxidermist...
Currently, no release date has been confirmed for the film. The "Paddington Bear" books are written by Michael Bond and first illustrated by Peggy Fortnum. The children's books have been translated into 30 languages across 70 titles and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide.
