19 Jul – The actor who played Q in the 2012 film "Skyfall", Ben Whishaw, will be replacing Colin Firth as the voice actor of the lovable bear from children's literature, Paddington bear in the upcoming movie adaptation, "Paddington". Firth left the production because both the studio and him agreed that his voice was not quite suitable for the cute and huggable bear, Paddington. Producer David Heyman told Daily Mail, "He was saying: 'Are you sure I'm right?' He was way ahead of us, Colin was brilliant, but his voice was, ultimately, too mature." Heyman also admitted that they need "a slightly more open and younger, voice" due to Paddington Bear's optimistic and full of wonder personality. Whishaw who played the younger version of Q in "Skyfall" was then called in for an audition for the role of Paddington bear. "I resisted a little bit, because I had a bad experience doing this kind of work in the past and I thought I was no good at it. But I was persuaded to go, slightly grudgingly;" Whishaw told Daily Mail. Whishaw is the latest addition to the film "Paddington" and he will be joining Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Jim Broadbent and Nicole Kidman. "Paddington" tells the tale of a Peruvian bear who travels to London in search of a home. He is then adopted by the Brown family and named Paddington Brown. However, his luck changes when he catches the attention of a museum taxidermist. The film is set to release on 28 November 2014 in the U.K, and Christmas Day, 25 December 2014 in Malaysia, Singapore and North America.
