8 Jul – StudioCanal, the same company that brought you "Paddington", recently announced that the third instalment of the beloved teddy bear will begin filming in 2022. The news was shared by studio CEO Anna Marsh from Cannes, who stated, "Our beloved bear is truly part of the family." The third movie will be written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont, though original director Paul King will not be helming the movie this time. No news as to where "Paddington 3" will be shot, though Ben Whishaw is expected to return as the titular character after reprising the role in the animated series, "The Adventures of Paddington".
