Another round of Japanese films!

25 Jun – For all you J-movie fans out there, good news: the Japanese Film Festival is back! This time, you can enjoy 10 films that are screening at GSC Mid Valley, GSC 1Utama and GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang.

This is an event not to be missed because you will be able to catch seven new Japanese films produced sometime between 2004 and 2007, along with three titles from the director Ichikawa Kon including a retrospective.

Prior to that, there will be a free matinee screening of the film "Uneasy Encounters" at the Pawagam Mini P.Ramlee, FINAS at 3.00pm on 5 July. Admission is totally free, so make sure you get there before seats are filled up!

The Japanese Film Festival proper commences on 17 July in KL and 25 July in Penang. You can catch the screenings by booking a few days in advance or simply just purchase your tickets at the ticket counter. Below are the details:

Some of the movies that will be featured during the festival include "Tokyo Tower - Mom & Me, and sometimes Dad", "Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers", "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" (Animation), "Fourteen", "Tony Takitani", "Memories of Matsuko", "Kaidan", "Harp of Burma" "Ten Dark Women" and "Dora-Heita".
