2 Jun - The annual Japanese Film Festival is back, bringing a total of eight award winning films for your viewing pleasure. The flick-fest will showcase "Dear Doctor", "Dog In A Sidecar', "Feel The Wind", "Noriben - The Recipe Of Fortune", "One Million Yen Girl", "The Summit: A Chronicle Of Stones", "Yamazakura - The Cherry Tree In The Hills" and "5 Centimeters Per Second".
Headlining the festival is "Dear Doctor", a film that has won more than 30 awards in its homeland, Japan including Best Film at the 31st Yokohama Film Festival, Best Director at the 34th Hochi Film Award and Best Actor for Tsurube Shofukutei at the 22nd Nikkan Sports Film Awards. Apart from that, it also served as the closing film at the 23rd Singapore International Film Festival 2010.
The festival will run in Kuala Lumpur from 17 to 21 June at GSC Mid Valley and GSC 1 Utama, and GSC Gurney Plaza in Penang from 25 to 27 June. Tickets priced at RM5 each.
