21 Aug - Arguably Singapore's most famous and most successful director, Jack Neo has finally followed up on his 1998 blockbuster comedy "Money No Enough" with a long-awaited sequel after 10 years. Speaking at a press conference held last week at GSC 1 Utama, Neo said that "Money No Enough 2" took 10 years because he wanted a better storyline for the movie to give the audience that "extra kick". In addition, the 10 years also serve to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the successful predecessor. The cast for the sequel were in town to promote the movie, including livewire comedian Mark Lee, last seen by Malaysians in the rib-tickling "Ah Long Pte Ltd" opposite Fann Wong. When asked to describe the character he plays in "Money No Enough 2", Lee said: "My character is one who spends lavishly to keep up with his 'wannabe' lifestyle." However, he felt that the most challenging part was when the director required him to shed tears. He said it took quite a while to be able to do so. Someone who did not need to travel very far to the press conference was TV drama veteran Lai Ming. She said: "Although I am the only Malaysian cast in this movie, I felt very comfortable working with Jack and the entire crew. It was such a pleasure working on this movie!"
