29 Nov – The cast and crew of Malaysian-Hong Kong production "I Love Wing Chun" celebrated the end of their two-week long principal photography at Taipei Taipei, Subang Avenue Shopping Centre in Malaysia just recently.
Stars from Hong Kong, China and Malaysia flocked to the wrap party namely director Lex Choi Lik, Wing Chun martial arts consultant Master Lai, Yuen Wah ("Kung Fu Hustle"), Yuen Qiu ("Kung Fu Mahjong"), Tian Liang ("Fantastic Water Babes"), Lai Meng ("Money No Enough 2"), and supermodels Amber Chia and Kelly Jagan.
The occasion also served to be a first look into the martial arts comedy as a short behind-the-scenes clip was screened.
Among the clips shown was a humorous scene where Hong Kong actor Yuen Wah was gawking at Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia's chest upon seeing her in a low-cut nurse outfit.
The comedy also incorporates Wing Chun Bak Kut Teh, Wing Chun Mahjong, Wing Chun Chicken Rice, Wing Chun Sauna and more for Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu to showcase their humourous side.
"I Love Wing Chun" is targeted for a simultaneous Asian release by March or April 2011 in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
The story revolves around a young man who grew up in a village in Malacca, raised by a couple who have been incorporating kung fu into his daily life without him realising it. Eventually, he is summoned to Kuala Lumpur by a wealthy businessman.
