11 Oct – Following the passing of Apple Computers and Pixar Animation Studio's co-founder Steve Jobs, it is now reported that Sony Pictures is close to obtaining a biography of the tech guru to make a big-screen adaptation on his life, according to a report on MovieWeb's website.
The 56-year-old entrepreneur, died after a long battle with cancer last week and is said to have participated in a 448-page book which features two years worth of interviews done with Walter Isaacson, former CNN chairman and Time Magazine's managing editor. The book reportedly captures Jobs' legacy as with his battle with cancer, however Jobs himself have not had a chance to read the book yet, which has already seen the pre-sale figures of the book rocket after his passing. Previously, a movie has also been made on Jobs in 1999 titled "Pirates Of The Silicon Valley", which chronicled Jobs' rivalry with Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Sony Pictures had also previously dabbled with technological entrepreneurs before, through "The Social Network" that portrayed the founding of Facebook and its creator Mark Zuckerberg.
