4 Sep – Ladies, take notice, heartthrob Ryan Gosling who endlessly wooed us in "The Notebook", "Fracture", and "Lars And The Real Girl" will soon make his directorial debut in an upcoming film "How To Catch A Monster", thus proving he is a combo of good looks and brilliance, according to LA Times. Featuring "Mad Men" co-star Christina Hendricks, "How To Catch A Monster" is set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, bringing together elements of fantasy and suspense in a modern day fairytale. Following a single mother (played by Hendricks) and her teenage son who uncover a mysterious underwater town, the story is written by Gosling himself and is set to begin production in the spring of 2013. Gosling has made it clear that he certainly has a thing for the spooks. Dead Man's Bones, a band, which he himself formed with Zach Shields, often plays songs related to the supernatural. The dashing 32-year-old Canadian actor and musician, who has been looking forward to this latest project admitted, "I am very appreciative to Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Bold Films for being so supportive and I look forward to making this film with all of them." Meanwhile, the fledgling filmmaker will next be seen in "The Place Beyond the Pines", which also stars Bradley Cooper, Rose Byrne and Eva Mendes; and "Gangster Squad", which is currently undergoing reshoots due to the Aurora, Colorado, movie theater massacre.
