1 Feb – There is a long list of new faces joining Robert Rodriguez's second instalment of "Sin City" including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, and Jamie Chung but the role of the Dame from the suggested title was still a mystery. The role was offered to big names like Angelina Jolie and Rachel Weisz, but it is now confirmed that the "Casino Royale" actress, Eva Green will join the movie as the deadly Ava Lord. The French actress is known for her choice in obscure artistic films like "The Dreamers" and "Womb", but she has also made a name for herself in Hollywood as a Bond girl and recently a vampire in "Dark Shadows" with Johnny Depp.
"Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City," says director Robert Rodriguez and "Sin City" creator Frank Miller, "From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green. We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us." She will be joining the familiar faces from the first "Sin City" like Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Bruce Willis. Aside from being cast in "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For", Green will also be in another Frank Miller-related film, the prequel of "300", "300: Rise Of An Empire" as the Greek Goddess Artemisia.
