12 Nov – With "Thor: The Dark World" director Alan Taylor locked in for the upcoming "Terminator" reboot in 2015; it is time to start casting actors and actresses. Alan Taylor has yet to conduct auditions and screen tests for roles in the film, but it is said that actresses Brie Larson ("Short Term 12"), Emilia Clarke ("Game Of Thrones") and Margot Robbie ("About Time") are among the list of candidates for Sarah Connor, with Emilia Clarke being the biggest star. As for actors, "Lawless" actor Tom Hardy is currently the frontrunner for John Connor, a part played by his "The Dark Knight Rises" co-star Christian Bale in "Terminator Salvation". John Connor is a messianic figure who will lead the Resistance to defeat an empire of robotic Terminators amassed by Skynet following Judgment Day. Skynet decides to send Terminators to travel back in time; first to assassinate his mother Sarah Connor, then eventually the young John Connor, before he is able to do so. Tom's competition includes Garrett Hedlund ("Tron: Legacy") and Boyd Holbrook ("The Host").
In addition to John and Sarah Connor, Alan Taylor will need to find a new Kyle Reese, the soldier from the future to who travels back to fight the Terminator, and together with Sarah Connor, conceive John. Meanwhile, long-time "Terminator" cast member Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return in the reboot.
