Harry Potter attraction turns evil

Experience the darkness of Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

12 Sep – "Harry Potter" fans, especially the ones in London or visiting, will have one more reason to be excited about the ever-expanding franchise. Warner Bros. has now announced an addition of a new section to its existing "Harry Potter" Studio Tour.

Warner Bros. Studios Tour in London is set at its Leavesden studio, which was used in all eight "Harry Potter" movies. The Studio Tour, started in 2012, gives visitors the chance to witness in person the props, costumes and set pieces from the wizard boy franchise. One of its famous attractions is the Diagon Alley, now another - darker - section will be included come Halloween season.

This will somehow be part of the eerie displays.

From 14 October onwards, fans will be able to experience firsthand the set that Voldemort and his Dark Arts followers occupied in the movies. The tour's official website stated that the current fireplace at the Malfoy Manor will be expanded to showcase the Death Eaters' headquarters, as shown in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. The drawing room will feature an imposing fireplace, chandeliers and the long table where Voldemort and his followers have sat at.

To emphasize on the bizarreness of the Dark Arts practice, a mannequin depicting Charity Burbage, a Muggle Studies teacher who was captured and tortured by Voldemort, will be suspended above the set. Meanwhile the Dark Lord's favourite pet, a 20-foot snake named Nagini, will be sitting on the mahogany table.

The desk belonging to Ministry of Magic's Dolores Umbridge will be on display.

Other Dark Arts props that will be on display include never-before-seen artefacts and props from the Knockturn Alley Dark Arts shop, Borgin and Burkes. Some examples of the props are the Vanishing Cabinet and the Hand of Glory. Dolores Umbridge and her kitten plates, as well as Remus Lupin and his gramophone will also have displays of their own in the tour.

That is not all. From 17 October to 3 November 2014, fans will be treated to some extra activities for this year's Halloween, which will include the Halloween feast from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", a dimly lit Diagon Alley and Death Eaters patrolling the streets.
