Stars arrive for South Indian International Movie Awards


Everybody's excited for the two days mega event.

11 Sep – Fans of Indian movies, get your cameras ready – the stars of your favourite movies are here in Malaysia!

The South Indian movie stars have arrived in the country to attend the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2014, which is taking place this 12 to 13 September at Stadium Negara.

Some of the stars that are set to grace the event include Sridevi, Vijay Yesudas, Unni Krishnan, Isya Talwar, Shivraj Kumar, Kushboo, Danush, Vikram Prabhu, Arya, Shivakartikeyan, Trisha Krishnan, Radhika Sarathkumar and Lakshmi Manchu.

Even Bollywood stars such as Sohail Khan, Bhatia, Boney Kapoor, Saqib Saleem and Huma Quereshi will be in attendance.

The Indian film industry is the biggest in the world and South Indian movies make up the majority of it. South Indian movies can be broken down into four separate segments, namely Kollywood which represents the Tamil segment, Mollywood represents Malayalam, Tollywood represents Telugu and Sandalwood represents the Kannada segment.

On 12 September, the Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movie awards will be presented while the Tamil awards will be given to their winners on the day after.

In the meantime, SIIMA Facebook page has uploaded several photos of the stars arriving in their hotel in Malaysia today.
