17 Oct – Leonardo DiCaprio's gritty reboot of "Robin Hood" has found its leading lady in the form of 24-year-old actress, Eve Hewson. The daughter of U2 lead singer Bono (Paul David Hewson) is set to star opposite "Kingsman: The Secret Service" star Taron Egerton, according to Deadline. 25-year-old Egerton will play Robin Hood while Hewson will portray Maid Marian, a role the Irish-born actress won after beating the likes of Dutch actress Gaite Jansen, Australian actress Lucy Fry and British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw. DiCaprio is producing through Appian Way while Otto Bathurst will be directing the story about Robin Hood forming a band of outlaws in order to fight the corruption and evil in Sherwood Forest. Other Robin Hood movies also in the making are Disney's "Nottingham & Hood", described as a cross between "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Enchanted"; Sony's "Hood", a cross between "Fast Furious" and "Mission: Impossible"; and Warner Bros.' very own version that has yet to reveal any details. Before starring in "Robin Hood: Origins", Egerton can be seen in upcoming Brian Helgeland-directed movie "Legend" and 2016's "Eddie the Eagle", while Hewson can currently be seen in "Bridge of Spies".
