25 Jun – Now that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has found its lead actor and actress in the form of Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne and British-born American actress Katherine Waterston, Warner Bros. is looking for someone to fill the secondary male lead role. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor Ezra Miller is reportedly being eyed for the key role, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Miller, who will be headlining 2018 DC movie "The Flash" as the titular hero, is reportedly circling the role of Jacob for the 2016 "Harry Potter" spinoff. It is not clear whether Jacob will be the movie's villain or he will only be a rival to Redmayne's Newt Scamander. The first movie of the spinoff trilogy will follow Scamander as he travels to find and document magical creatures, and he ends up meeting Waterstone's witch character Porpentina in New York.
Even if this doesn't pan out for Miller, the 22-year-old will still have another high profile movie, or movies – the two-part 2017 and 2019 "Justice League" extravaganza, to look forward to with his portrayal as heroic speedster, The Flash. Miller will additionally be appearing in three 2015 movies: "Madame Bovary", "The Stanford Prison Experiment" and "Trainwreck".
