9 Jun – There's no denying Dwayne Johnson's disaster epic, "San Andreas", is still rumbling loud as it once again tops the charts in Malaysia and Singapore, and places second at the U.S. weekend box office chart for 4 to 7 June 2015. U.S.' new release "Spy" has managed to infiltrate the number one spot on its opening weekend, making a gross of USD29 million. The Melissa McCarthy-starrer also nabbed the top spot straightaway when it was released two weeks earlier in Malaysia and Singapore, and to date has grossed USD85.5 million worldwide. Disengaged by the espionage spoof, "San Andreas" slides down to number two with its weekend gross of USD25.8 million. However, thanks to its strong debut in the Chinese market, where Variety reports it picked up USD51 million over its first six days, it accumulates a global gross of USD287 million. Number three on the chart goes to another newcomer, "Insidious: Chapter 3". The third instalment in the "Insidious" series scared up a weekend gross of USD22.7 million and collected USD37 million globally.
