16 Jun – The fourth instalment of the "Jurassic Park" franchise finally debuted after close to fourteen long years since the third movie, and the long-awaited "Jurassic World" is no disappointment as it made a massive debut at number one at the U.S., M'sia and S'pore weekend box office for 11 to 14 June 2015. The Chris Pratt-starrer breaks the record as the first movie ever to globally gross more than half a billion during its debut. With the USD511.8 million worldwide opening gross, it now holds the world's highest worldwide opening record. The dinosaur movie currently stands at number one in the U.S., having to date made USD208.8 million over the weekend. "Spy" surrenders to number two with its USD15.6 million weekend gross, while "San Andreas" takes a slide and ends up at number three, grossing USD10.8 last weekend.
